FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this stuff really free?

A:  Yes, many companies have it in their advertising budgets to give away free stuff to promote a company or website. Some may charge a small shipping fee, although most do not.  You should use your judgment in those rare circumstances.

Q:  I see so many scam sites. How can I protect myself?

A:  Everything has risks, but Free Stuff Headquarters tries to screen all of the offers we post the best that we can.  If you know of any scam offers posted on our site, please inform us right away so we can delete them.

Q:  I have a lot of spyware on my computer, is it coming from your site?

A:  No.  We have no spyware or adware on our site.  Some of the sites you are directed to may, however.  Free stuff headquarters recommends downloading a program called  Ad-Aware. It can be found at www.lavasoftusa.com. (It’s free of course.)  This should keep you protected from common spyware issues.

Q:  Some of the sites with free stuff ask for my phone number.  Should I give it to them?

A:  Free stuff Headquarters does not recommend it.  Your phone number should not be necessary to send you free stuff.  Find out if it is a required entry.  Some ask for it but don’t require it.  If they do require it, don’t give them your real number.  They will surely want to call you for something.

Q:  Any other suggestions that would help me?

A:  Sure, we recommend downloading and installing Google toolbar. In addition to a popup blocker and other great features, it has an auto fill feature that will make it much easier and faster to fill out forms online.

Q:  I know of a free item that should be included on your site.  What should I do?

A:  Click the Contact Us link at the top of any page on the site and let us know.  We will screen the offer and be happy to list it on our site.
